SLA President Dr Željko Vučković ( z.vuckovic@yahoo.com ) Željko Vučković was born in 1960, in Zrenjanin.He had worked in The Matica Srpska Library (it is the central library of Vojvodina, founded in 1826., which has over 3 million publications and the biggest electronic catalogue of publications in Yugoslavia) as a librarian , a professional coordinator and as a chief of Department for development  (1987-2007). Željko Vučković is professor of Librarianship at Faculty of Pedagogy, Sombor. Vučković the youngest winner of the highest award for librarianship in Serbia  (Milorad Panic Surep award ,1997). Fields of his professional and scietific interest are: relationship between libraries and the society, public libraries, automatization  of library, business ethics, knowledge management etc. He published over 50 papers and 10 books. He has been the editor in chief of the professional magazine “Librarian”. He has been the president of Serbia Library Associaton from June 2009. SLA Secretary Vesna Crnogorac ( sekretar@bds.rs )  Vesna Crnogorac, master of Law and librarian. Since 2006, she has been the Professional secretary of the Serbia Library Association. From 1990 till 1995 she worked as a jurist in local government. From 1995 – 1998 she was director and the main editor of the monthly local magazine and professional journalist. For the last eleven years she has worked in the librarian domain, for seven years (1998 – 2005) she has been the director of the Public Library G. Han. She has been the coordinator and teacher of the accredited seminares for professional development of school librarians. She participated in various international and domestic conferences and professional meetings. She is the member of Organization committees for preparation of International scientific conferentiones (SLA). She has published over 30 professional papers in the librarian domain. She has been the member of the other comittees and governing bodies of the SLA. She has been the member of the editorial board of of the professional magazine “Librarian”.   SLA Webmaster Milun Vasić ( milun@bds.rs ) From 2001. - 2006. was  head of The Public Library in Jagodina –The main library of Pomoravlje region. In the firs half of 2002., with the support of Found for an Open Society realised the project “ Tea-party, Thursday at 6”, series of platforms, meetings and talks with various subjects and social groups, all with one goal – the promotion of library as centre  of local community. The project results successfully represented at The Librarians meeting of Central and Eastern Europe held in Lithuania in June 2002.    From August 2002.till the end of 2003. was a member of local government in Department of culture. As one of “key-players” of PULMAN project in our country, took part in The Librarians meeting of Western Balkans in Ljubljana within mentoring programme, where represented good results of his library practise.    He was editor of the Public Library web site (www.jabooka.org.rs) which was, in fellow librarian’s opinion, the best library site in Serbia in 2003. In 2003. within the project “Gaming house-dreaming house” supported by USAID introduced the world of internet and educational computer programme in the Children department of the Public Library. Also, in 2004. with support of the USA government, created network of 22 computers with ADSL internet connection.    Regularly exposes in domestic and international professional meetings and publishes his works in professional periodicals. His fields of interest are lobbying, management, marketing in public services, children and youth programme, library associations, internet, fundraising, standards in librarianship.
